Yoma Digital builds pet prescription portal for Northern Ireland using Epicor Magento
Yoma Digital, an Epicor partner, has built a pet prescription portal for VSSCo, a leading distributor of pet food and veterinary medication in Northern Ireland.
The portal, which offers unique workflows for prescription management and professional review, enables VSSCo to capitalise on a £ 5M market opportunity in Northern Ireland created by changes in regulations post-Brexit.
“ What Yoma and Epicor have been able to deliver has put us in a prime position to target a new commercial opportunity at scale,” said John Scott, Head of Operations and IT, VSSCo.“ Not only was it delivered quickly, but the solution is robust and allows us to operate in a regulated market with confidence.”
The post-Brexit grace period ended on January 1, 2026, preventing suppliers on the UK mainland from shipping veterinary medicines to Northern Ireland. This change created a vacuum in a market estimated to be worth £ 5M per year, or about one-third of the total UK online veterinary medicine market.
The project schedule was accelerated, with VSSCo emphasising a time-to-market strategy.
“ We mapped out the complex journey from a customer’ s pet profile to the vet’ s final sign-off to ensure zero friction for the enduser while maintaining legal compliance,” said a spokesperson for Yoma Digital.

Saudi Arabia’ s cloud services market was valued at US $ 4.77 billion last year and is expected to more than double by the early 2030s. AWS has announced plans to launch an AWS Region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2026.
