Despite ongoing challenges , the GCC IT market is showing signs of recovery after years of disruption . With the IT spending in the MENA region expected to grow , primarily due to the GCC ’ s focus on digitalisation , how is the recovery going to impact IT channels in the coming years ?

Data is key to this , of course , and organisations are increasingly turning to the cloud and edge deployment to provide the compute , storage , and speed required to manage the huge wealth of data available to them . Across the IT ecosystem , vendors and distributors are innovating on effective data management products and services that will allow their customers to maximise the value of that data .

Arguably the poster child of digitalisation , generative AI , GenAI burst on to the scene in 2023 , and its popularity shows no sign of abating . With economic benefits , it is unsurprising that digital transformation is one of the region ’ s key priorities . Each GCC country has implemented digitalisation initiatives in line with their National Visions aiming to diversify the economy , such as the Saudi Vision 2030 , UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 and Qatar ’ s Digital Agenda 2030 .
