STARLINK APPOINTS CEO
TO REVITALISE GROWTH
PLANS FOR 2020 AND AHEAD

tarLink, the fastest growing
‘True’ Value-Added-Distributor
(VAD) in the Middle East,
Turkey and Africa (META),
has announced the appointment of
Bashar Bashaireh as the Chief Executive
Officer, who will be based at StarLink’s
headquarters in Dubai.
With over 25 years of leadership
experience and with a vast business
network, Bashaireh is a highly recognised
executive in the technology, security
and telecom industries with an in-depth
understanding of related business dynamics.
His experience spans successfully building,
growing and leading organisations across
multiple geographies and cultures making
him the right choice to lead StarLink into the
next phase of growth.
As CEO, Bashaireh’s main role would be
to capitalise and build on these strengths
and solid corporate foundation to pursue a
clear vision for change and value creation;
harness his commercial experience to
build stronger business partnerships,
develop strategic alliances and expand the
international sales presence for StarLink.

Prior to joining StarLink, Bashaireh
held several management roles at leading
technology vendors. Most recently he was
General Manager at Symantec, managing
the Middle East and Pakistan region.
Before that he was Vice President, Middle
East and Africa at Unify and he also served
as Regional Director at Aruba Networks
and Fortinet.

In other news, StarLink has signed
up with Demisto, a Palo Alto Networks
Company for distribution of its Security
Orchestration, Automation and Response
(SOAR) portfolio, in the META region.
Demisto is a leading SOAR platform
that helps security teams accelerate incident
response standardise and scale processes,
and learn from each incident while
working together.
Demisto Enterprise integrates with
more than 160 security products and
enables organisations to build playbooks for
different security operations.
By integrating other security products
with Demisto, users can orchestrate
actions across a suite of products in one
window, automate response actions
through playbooks and run live security
commands from a collaboration interface
to remediate threats.
Under the agreement, StarLink will
promote Demisto through its regional
sales and marketing expertise, widespread
partner network and strong customer
base. It is uniquely positioned to support
Demisto in expanding their geographical
footprint, customer base and grow
potential business opportunities.
Demisto perfectly fits in at the
core of StarLink’s solutions lifecycle,
complementing many of the technologies in
the StarLink ecosystem.
