Nuvias signs distribution agreement with
Polycom, expands partnership with VASCO
Value-added distributor Nuvias signed a pan-EMEA distribution
agreement with Polycom. The announcement follows a successful
three-year relationship between Polycom and SIPHON in the UK
and Benelux. SIPHON was previously acquired by Nuvias in 2016.
The new, expanded relationship will continue through the Nuvias
unified communications practice.
Nuvias will focus on the integration of Polycom VoIP phones into
complete end-to-end solutions for the hosted voice market. Recent
research by Cavell Group in the UK said the market had grown 11%
over the last six months, and hosted VoIP users had now passed
the 3 million mark, with much of that growth happening in the last
couple of years.
Building on SIPHON’s success in the UK, which saw it become
one of Polycom’s key global distributors, Nuvias will start the
roll-out in France and Italy, followed by Germany and Spain. In
addition to the hosted voice market, Nuvias will also offer complete
Microsoft Skype for Business enterprise solutions using Polycom
voice and video endpoints.
Previously in September, Nuvias and VASCO Data Security
International, a global vendor in digital solutions, including identity,
security and business productivity, expanded their existing
distributor agreement, increasing the number of EMEA countries
covered from two to 21.

The value-added distributor will play a key role in driving further
growth and meeting demand across EMEA for VASCO’s trusted
security solutions, including two-factor authentication, transaction
data signing, e-signatures, identity management and secure access
to the cloud for online and mobile applications.
Previous to Nuvias’ acquisition of Wick Hill, VASCO had an
ongoing ten-year distributor relationship in the UK and Germany
with Wick Hill. Both Nuvias and VASCO are now looking to replicate
this successful partnership across EMEA, with an initial focus on
France, Poland and Benelux.
