EVALUATING BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION MOTIVATORS IN THE MIDDLE EAST – A 2025 CXO PRIORITIES REPORT IN COLLABORATION WITH ORACLE
Section 1
1. How would you describe your organisation’ s current approach to digital transformation?
• We are actively pursuing a complete Digital Transformation( 23 %)
• We are in the early stages of evaluating our options( 19 %)
• We are focused on modernising specific departments or functions( 27 %)
• We have not yet prioritised Digital Transformation( 31 %)
Key insights The data signals a digital maturity gap. While most respondents are at least exploring modernisation – and a quarter are actively pursuing a complete Digital Transformation – almost a third haven’ t yet prioritised this which could see organisations relying on legacy systems that may be inefficient or less secure.
Those modernising specific departments only are taking a fragmented approach that could create silos and uneven policy enforcement. The overarching theme is that the variable pace of change – from complete inaction to piecemeal modernisation – represents a clear challenge to realising a unified, end-to-end Digital Transformation.
2. How important is it for your company to leverage modern cloud applications to drive business strategy over the next 1 – 2 years?

Key insights The survey reveals that cloud applications are increasingly viewed as strategic enablers of agility and resilience, but commitment levels do vary. The majority of respondents, comprised of those who deem it‘ slightly important’( 33 %) or‘ moderately important’( 30 %), acknowledge the role of modern cloud applications in driving business strategy over the next two years – but are failing to treat the cloud as a core strategic enabler. This could suggest cloud applications are being considered as tactical solutions rather than as an entirely transformative process. • 22 www. intelligenttechchannels. com
