Excel briefs its channel partners
Excel Networking Solutions is running
its annual series of Partner Briefings this
autumn. Presentations and discussions
will be held across the country, in London,
Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.
The Excel Partner Briefings are designed
to keep Excel Partners and Consultants
up to date with all of the developments
on the Excel Structured Cabling System,
an important event for those who sell and
support the Excel solution.
This year, the company will be
showcasing its recently launched enhanced
fibre products within the Enbeam range,
as well as highlighting further products
being added to the range. The events intend
to bring attendees up to speed with the
latest standards information and the guest
speaker, Kevin Wright, from Chemtronics
will highlight the importance of fibre
cleaning. The events will be educational and
informative and will provide partners with
the knowledge and tools to help sell and
support Excel.
Last year, it received fantastic feedback
from its partners who attended the events.
An overall satisfaction rate just shy of 95
per cent across the complete roadshow
demonstrates the success of the events
10
and their provision of insightful, accurate
information and updates.
Speaking with some of the attendees,
an Excel partner commented, “The
presentations were interesting and it was
good to see complementary topics added to
the portfolio that are directly ‘Excel/Mayflex’
related, but that also affect the supply chain
and industry. Each element of the roadshow
was factual and concise.”
Another commented, “The Excel Partner
Briefings were a useful reminder of the
sales tools, collateral and technical support
available from Excel”.

Sophos announces
Super Star campaign for
silver and authorised
MEA partners
Sophos, a global leader in network and
endpoint security, has announced a new
initiative for its authorised and silver
partners from the Middle East & Africa
(MEA). The Sophos Super Star campaign
is designed to motivate partners with
additional rewards upon achieving their
target. It is also aimed at driving sales for
the latest security solutions.
Speaking on the initiative, Harish Chib,
Vice President, Middle East & Africa, at
Sophos said, “The rewards are a part of the
company’s plan to encourage our silver and
authorised partners to generate revenue
opportunities and achieve their business
goals. Our main aim is to drive our partners
to excel and incentivise them with rewards
for their great effort. The rewards are
applicable on the sale of all products logged
between May–October 2017. As part of our
‘Channel First’ sales strategy, this initiative
will help our partners to expand their
businesses across the MEA channel, a region
divided into leading and emerging countries,
and both have different targets. The top
three partners in both regions achieving the
highest sales will be rewarded.”
Being a partner-focused IT security
company, Sophos has a dedicated partner
programme for the Middle East & Africa. The
programme is segmented into four different
on-boarding levels with different skills
certifications, sales and target activities, and
rewards. It provides access to the company’s
comprehensive portfolio of market-leading
endpoint and network security products.
Initiatives like the Super Star campaign
and partner programme for MEA illustrate
Sophos’ commitment towards being a
truly channel-first company that creates
programmes and incentives for better
channel enablement and to accelerate
Sophos’ partner profitability.
Sophos’ MEA partners are now able
to manage all Sophos solutions for
every customer through a centralised
management platform, Sophos Central.
