Syniti has acquired Proceed Group ’ s Rightsizer to enhance SAP transformations
Syniti , a global vendor in enterprise data management , announced it has acquired Proceed Group ’ s Rightsizer software , a tool for identifying archiving opportunities and to determine infrastructure sizing as organisations embark on their SAP S4HANA transformations .
Rightsizer enables businesses to gain agility , relieve strain on internal resources ,
Kevin Campbell increase efficiencies in deployment , and maintain actionable data while keeping business operations running smoothly .
With the acquisition of Proceed Rightsizer ,
Syniti customers will be able to begin working on their data earlier than ever before as they prepare for their journey to implementing SAP S4HANA . When conducting an SAP migration , businesses need support to securely extract and import the data and documents stored within SAP environments and decommission the SAP and non-SAP legacy data that is no longer required .
That is in addition to retaining the data required for regulatory and business reasons , ensuring continuity . Assessing and optimising data earlier , understanding what to archive and what to delete , helps customers realise value faster from their existing data and infrastructure , setting the right Data First foundation for SAP transformations .
Syniti will begin incorporating the Rightsizer software into its Data Assessment Express offering , which offers customers rapid visibility into their SAP data to identify data challenges and opportunities . It provides customers with earlier access to relevant data information with suggested actions to accelerate data quality , data governance , analytics or data migration projects .
Kevin Campbell , CEO , Syniti , said : “ I have never had a customer tell us they started their data work too early or that their data is too clean . This is particularly true for any business transformation project , as we have seen in the thousands of SAP migration projects that we have delivered on for our customers including our recent successful go-live at Bridgestone .”

XENON purchases Quantum Myriad , all-flash , storage platform
Quantum Corporation announced that
XENON Systems , a high-performance computing and complex data storage specialist , has purchased Quantum Myriad , an all-flash , scale-out file and object storage software platform . XENON will offer Myriad
Dragan Dimitrovici to their customers with demanding dataintensive workloads that require high speed infrastructure for artificial intelligence , AI models and multi-variant simulations .
XENON already sells Quantum ActiveScale object storage to their customers who are generating massive data sets and need to build a secure , low-cost private storage cloud that allows rapid and secure access to their growing research and data sets . Now , with Myriad and ActiveScale , XENON customers can uniquely achieve comprehensive endto-end data management , unifying different classes of storage – from their hottest data to their coldest data – all from a single vendor .
XENON recognised Myriad ’ s innovative architecture designed to deliver blazing fast performance at any scale using the latest flash technologies . It introduces inline data services such as deduplication and compression , snapshots and clones , and metadata tagging to accelerate AI , machine learning , ML data processing .
And it uses familiar and proven cloud technologies , like microservices and Kubernetes , to deliver cloud simplicity wherever deployed , no custom hardware required . XENON plans to showcase the Myriad system they purchased at upcoming tradeshows and to use it to demo the solution ’ s capabilities to prospective customers .
AI workloads and GPUs require two things : hyper-speed processing on the front end , and long-term protection of the data they generate . This data needs to be retained for years , allowing for future analysis and insight as methodologies improve . XENON recognised the value of offering Myriad along with ActiveScale to address this challenge .
“ Myriad features a modern architecture that can support the AI models and simulations our life sciences customers are running continually ,” says Dragan Dimitrovici , XENON CEO . •
