Mark Moffat takes over from Darren Roos as CEO of IFS
IFS , the global cloud enterprise software company , announced that Mark Moffat has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer . Moffat takes over from Darren Roos who has been appointed as the company ’ s Chair of the Board . Both appointments are effective immediately .
The transition provides great continuity for the business by building on the successful strategy that has seen IFS transform into the vendor for Asset and Service Management software . Moffat , Roos and the IFS Executive Team have been working on the transition over the past six months as part of the Board ’ s succession planning process .
Moffat , who was previously IFS ’ Chief Customer Officer , is well-known having held several senior positions at PwC before joining IFS .
Under Roos ’ tenure as CEO , IFS has more than tripled its overall revenues and transformed into a true cloud business , from both a product and revenue perspective with 79 % of total revenue now recurring , up from 36 % when he joined . Thanks to sustained organic growth and customer satisfaction scores that set the industry benchmark , IFS has become the vendor for industry focused applications that help manage assets , people and customers .

Ziad Jammal elevated to UAE Google Cloud Country Manager
Google Cloud announced the appointment of Ziad Jammal as UAE Google Cloud Country Manager to further drive digital transformation for UAE businesses in the new AI era . Ziad brings extensive experience in the technology industry and a deep understanding of the UAE ’ s digital landscape to this strategic role .
As Google Cloud Country Manager , he will be responsible for overseeing Google Cloud ’ s go-to-market strategy , supporting partners relationships , and driving customers ’ success across the UAE . He will focus on scaling Google Cloud ’ s offerings in the UAE to help organisations across various industries , including the public sector , financial services , media , aviation , telco and retail , innovate faster .

Ziad has over 20 years of experience in information technology and technology sales leadership . He joined Google Cloud in 2017 and has since played a pivotal role in expanding the company ’ s value proposition in the UAE . In his most recent role at Google Cloud , he led the Startups and Digital Natives team where he successfully developed the go-to-market strategy to support , grow and empower local businesses and entrepreneurs .
