Why should channel partners continue to work with Microsoft and invest in its solutions and technology ?
According to a recent research report by IDC , for every US $ 1 of licensing or platform revenue , there is an equivalent US $ 8 of services opportunity for partners . The opportunity exists , but partners need to continue to invest in skills , differentiation and scalable and repeatable solutions in order to capitalise on growth and improve their profitability . future . Another challenge is access to skills . These are in short supply and as a result the cost of employing expert skills continues to rise . There is no shortage of talent in South Africa , however we need to work together to build more skills around particular areas of market demand , like business applications ( Dynamics 365 ), Application Development , Azure , security and low code / no code platforms such as Power Platform .
How is Microsoft working with the ISV community in Sub-Saharan Africa and what initiatives is the company pushing in 2023 ?
We are working closely with the Africa Transformation Office to help ISVs with geo-expansion . We have new programmes such as the Microsoft Founder ’ s Hub , and ISV Success Programme , catering to supporting ISVs at different stages in their maturity cycle . •
