Tecala partners with Armitage Associates to drive national growth strategy

Group has announced a strategic partnership with business investment specialist Armitage Associates .
The partnership , which involves an US $ 18-million investment in Tecala , will support a planned national growth strategy and extend the company ’ s ability to serve clients across Australia ’ s mid-market sector . Part of the strategy will include expanding the businesses presence in Brisbane , Adelaide and Perth , as well as significantly investing in people to meet the growing demands of Tecala ’ s client base .

DeGunst said the investment by Armitage , which involves the company taking a significant stake in Tecala , was the result of a detailed , 18-month review of a range of potential business partners . Mark De Ambrosis from Armitage Associates said : “ We had been examining the managed services market for some time and could see the potential for strong future growth across Australia .”

CloudBees acquires ReleaseIQ DevOps platform
CloudBees , a software delivery platform for enterprises , has announced the acquisition of ReleaseIQ to expand the company ’ s DevSecOps capabilities , empowering customers with a low-code , end-to-end release orchestration and visibility solution .
The new SaaS-based offering enables DevOps organisations to rapidly compose and analyse workflows , orchestrating any combination of continuous integration ( CI ) and continuous delivery ( CD ) technologies – including Jenkins – without migration or replacement .
“ The decision to acquire ReleaseIQ was rooted in three core beliefs : choice , visibility and continuous value ,” said Anuj Kapur , President and CEO , CloudBees . “ First , businesses need to empower developers by providing a choice of tools versus forcing a toolset . Second , as DevSecOps matures , it is no longer acceptable to have a limited view of your software delivery ecosystem .”
Today ’ s DevOps teams face excessive development complexity , inefficiency and cost caused by incoherent , disconnected CI and CD pipelines . This new capability enables teams to coordinate coherent , effective deployments and releases across teams , applications and environments and provides complete visibility into the software delivery practice to advance performance .
