few years ago, organisations started
looking into the cloud, displaying an
experimental mentality by moving
non-core applications across.
Soon afterwards, we started to see a
move towards a hybrid cloud model that

paves the way for unprecedented innovation,
bringing cloud architects DevOps,
NetOps and SecOps together to pioneer
transformational services that traditional
infrastructures simply cannot deliver.
Although challenges exist today related
to cost, skills, legal constraints and legacy
infrastructure configurations, the outlook
over the next five years is bright.
Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence
and Machine Learning will be fundamental
to driving higher levels of automation,
removing significant obstructions to multi-
cloud adoption.
However, with these benefits, it will
be vital for organisations to confront the
security challenge head on; if they are to
prevent data loss and business disruption,
they must gain the ability to deliver
consistent, automated protection across
multi-cloud deployments.
This should be delivered through
infrastructure, platform and workload
protection technologies working together to
eliminate the wide variety of cloud risks that
can cause breaches.
These security capabilities are integrated
into the cloud app development life cycle,
making multi-cloud security frictionless for
the development and security teams.
