EDITOR’ S COMMENT
ello and welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent Tech Channels.
This month’ s cover story, which can be found on page 15, features Sally King, Channel Business Manager UK & I at Scalefusion, and Michael Conway, Managing Director of Renaissance.
They tell us how Scalefusion’ s expansion into the UK is creating opportunities for MSPs to simplify increasingly complex endpoint environments while protecting profitability and developing recurring services.
The partnership is focused on consolidated endpoint management, stronger partner margins and dedicated enablement to help MSPs build sustainable services around the platform.
King explains why Scalefusion is prioritising a select group of committed partners rather than pursuing channel growth based purely on numbers. Conway also highlights the differences between the UK and Irish channel markets while emphasising the importance of strong relationships and understanding individual partner requirements.
Together, they explain why valueadded distribution, technical expertise and meaningful partner support will become increasingly important as MSPs look to reduce complexity, control costs and deliver greater value to customers.
Elsewhere, on page 24 we hear how PrimeSys has helped Warwickshire College Group modernise its IT infrastructure by migrating its virtual environment to Nutanix on OVHcloud, creating a scalable cloud campus supporting more than 11,500 users.
The project replaced ageing on-premises infrastructure with a more flexible and resilient environment while delivering comparable costs and reducing the burden on the college’ s internal IT team. PrimeSys and OVHcloud also helped WCG quickly resolve an early connectivity issue when increased student traffic was mistakenly identified as a DDoS attack.
The new environment has already demonstrated its resilience by maintaining services during a regional power failure that could previously have forced a campus
closure. WCG is now working with PrimeSys on the next phase of its cloud strategy, including migrating its virtual desktop infrastructure to support reliable access to learning resources and industry-standard applications.
