Sourcepass Liberty powers Acronis partnership with University of Georgia Athletic Association

Sourcepass Liberty is delivering Acronis cyber protection services to the University of Georgia Athletic Association, extending the Acronis # TeamUp programme into US collegiate athletics for the first time.

S ourcepass Liberty has taken a leading role in bringing Acronis’ # TeamUp programme to US collegiate athletics through a new partnership with the University of Georgia

Athletic Association( UGAA).
The collaboration marks the first time Acronis has partnered with a collegiate athletics association through its # TeamUp programme and highlights the growing role of Managed Service Providers( MSPs) in delivering enterprise-grade cyber protection to the sports sector.
As an Acronis # CyberFit Partner and Delivery Partner, Sourcepass Liberty will support UGAA’ s cyber protection objectives while providing the expertise and ongoing services required to help secure the organisation’ s increasingly data-driven operations.
“ At the University of Georgia Athletic Association, we are committed to excellence not only in sports, but in how we support our programmes behind the scenes,” said Alan Thomas, Senior Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Revenue Strategy at UGAA.“ We’ re excited to partner with Acronis and to be part of this # TeamUp collaboration, delivered by Sourcepass Liberty, and what it represents for the future of collegiate athletics.”
The partnership builds on Sourcepass Liberty’ s established experience delivering Acronis solutions through the # TeamUp programme. Sourcepass, Acronis’ back-to-back North American Service Provider of the Year, has previously delivered # TeamUp partnerships for professional sports organisations including the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Islanders.
“ I founded a technology company in Georgia that was recognised by the University of Georgia Alumni Association as a Bulldog 100 fastestgrowing alumni business for five consecutive years, so it’ s especially meaningful to see this # TeamUp partnership come to life with UGAA,” said Ben Johnson, Vice President at Sourcepass Liberty.“ As part of Sourcepass and an Acronis # CyberFit Partner, Sourcepass Liberty brings established # TeamUp experience into this collegiate collaboration, and we’ re proud to support Acronis as it expands the programme into college athletics.”
The agreement demonstrates how MSPs are becoming strategic partners for organisations that require resilient, always-on technology environments. Collegiate athletic programmes increasingly rely on digital systems to support operations, fan engagement and business activities, making cyber protection a critical requirement.
“ When we looked at expanding # TeamUp into collegiate athletics for the first time, we wanted our top partner leading the way,” said Pat Hurley, RVP Americas at Acronis.“ Partnering with the University of Georgia Athletic Association through Sourcepass Liberty was a natural next step. Collegiate athletic programmes operate in a fast-paced, highperformance environment where data security and system availability are essential. Through our # TeamUp programme, and collaboration with Sourcepass Liberty, we are proud to support the University of Georgia Athletic Association.”
The partnership includes VIP hospitality at football games, a private men’ s basketball event hosted at UGAA facilities, LED signage during football games and participation in NIL( Name, Image, Likeness) initiatives, creating opportunities for Sourcepass Liberty, Acronis and UGAA to engage with customers and partners.
By delivering the partnership through Sourcepass Liberty, Acronis is reinforcing the importance of the MSP channel in extending enterprisegrade cyber protection into new markets. The project also establishes a blueprint for future # TeamUp collaborations across collegiate athletics. •
