Ingram Micro signs distribution agreement
with Quest for META region
Ingram Micro, one of the largest
technology distributors in the META
(Middle East, Turkey and Africa) region,
has signed a distribution agreement with
Quest, a global leader in new generation
data protection solutions for physical,
virtual and cloud environments.
Through this agreement, Ingram Micro
is now authorised to distribute Quest’s
complete portfolio of backup, recovery and
endpoint systems management solutions
to its channel partners in Bahrain, Iraq,
Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar,
Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Yemen. Quest
helps users reduce tedious administration
tasks so they can focus their resources
on driving business growth through
greater innovation. Addressing the critical
areas of Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform
management, SaaS, security, workforce
mobility and data-driven insights, Quest’s
solutions are scalable, affordable and
simple to use, and empower end customers
to reduce time-to-market and increase

agreement with Spectrami

Red Hat and AWS extend strategic alliance
Red Hat, a provider of open source
solutions, and Amazon Web Services (AWS),
an Amazon.com company and a cloud
computing provider, announced an extended
strategic alliance to natively integrate
access to AWS services into the Red Hat
OpenShift Container Platform. Through this
unique offering, Red Hat will make AWS
services accessible directly within the Red
Hat OpenShift Container Platform, allowing
customers to take advantage of the world’s
most comprehensive and broadly adopted
cloud whether they’re using the Red Hat
OpenShift Container Platform on AWS or
in an on-premises environment. Customers
will be able to seamlessly configure and
deploy a range of AWS services such as
Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift, Amazon
EMR, Amazon Athena, Amazon CloudFront,
Amazon Route 53, and Elastic Load
Balancing with just a few clicks from directly
within the Red Hat OpenShift console.

Pulse Secure, a leader in secure access
solutions, has announced a new distribution
relationship with Spectrami, a leading value
added distributor for security, storage and
mobility products in the Middle East. Under
the terms of the agreement, Spectrami will
offer its innovative Vendor Extension Model
(VEM) to serve a channel community of
Middle East regional partners through a full
multi-point engagement, from pre-sales,

deploying applications inside containers,
they have asked both companies to make
it seamless to deploy and manage Red
Hat OpenShift-based containers on AWS.
With this alliance, AWS and Red Hat will
give customers the ability to easily build
and extend container-based enterprise
applications with the Red Hat OpenShift
Container Platform using a range of AWS
compute, database, analytics, machine
learning, networking, mobile and various
application services. This will enable
Red Hat’s OpenShift Container Platform
customers to be more agile as they’ll
be able to use the same application
development platform to build on-premises
or in the cloud. Red Hat and AWS will
also work together to provide a single
support path backed by both companies,
so customers can run their applications in
production with confidence.

developers to deploy their applications in
ManageEngine, the real-time IT management
company, has announced it has joined
WatchGuard Technologies as a Gold
Technology Alliance Partner. WatchGuard
Technologies’ firewall appliances and
ManageEngine’s firewall reporting tool,
Firewall Analyzer, now work together to
allow small to midsize companies (SMBs)
and distributed enterprises to effectively
report, manage and mitigate their exposure
to security risks.

bandwidth and security related aspects of
their network. Firewall Analyzer is agentless
and web-based software built for traffic
